"Observe - Educate - Have Fun"

TAAS General Meeting - Saturday July 8, 2017

Bio: (By Alan Scott)

I have been building telescopes since 2004, and studied under TAAS’ Jim Lawrence. This is the fourth telescope I have built, with little hope of it being my last. I started observing stars late in life, buying a ridiculously heavy Meade 10” in 2000. Since then, I have attended a dozen Okie Tex star parties, three Texas Star Parties, and OzSky twice. My two favorite observing sites are the White Ridge parking by San Ysidro and GNTO.

(Alan currently works at Sandia National Laboratories.)
