"TELESCOPE BASICS" - STEVE SNIDER
This presentation will cover the three main types of telescopes--refractors, reflectors and catadioptrics...their histories, the light paths for each type and will go over the pros-and-cons of each one.
Snider will also explain the types of telescope mounts--alt-azimuth and equatorial--and give the advantages and disadvantages of each type.
The presentation will end with advice for those who are thinking about purchasing a telescope and their goals, taking questions, if time remains.
